dock planning stalemate...
After years of sustaining a severe shortage of dock
space in New Bedford/Fairhaven harbor, fishing vessel owners
finally may see the logjam broken. In a recent meeting launched
by the Port of New Bedford Business Alliance, representatives
of the Governor's Seaport Advisory Council, New Bedford
Harbor Development Commission, and Alliance members discussed
cooperatively advancing the status of, and alternatives
to, the city's long stalled dockage plans.
